In-between
In person
Date: Week 32/2025
Place: Dalslands Studio
Content: A seminar, where we will explore the profound concept of the unsaid and the spaces that exist between visual elements, such as the gaps between comic panels. This event will take place amidst the breathtaking nature of Dalsland, a region renowned for its enchanting forests and serene waterways. Here, we will immerse ourselves in the “inbetween” moments found in nature—those quiet pauses that invite reflection and deeper understanding. Participants will engage in activities that highlight these transitional spaces, encouraging us to appreciate how our brains process what is not immediately visible. Through this unique blend of visual facilitation and natural exploration, we aim to uncover the significance of the “inbetween” in both art and life

Industrial History Explorations
In person
Date: tbc
Place: Dalslands Studio
Content: This exciting 7-day workshop invites participants to delve into the rich industrial history of Dalsland, Sweden, and Germany. Through visits to local historical sites and contemporary learning spaces, attendees will explore the rise and decline of industries in these regions. The workshop will engage with the 19th-century “machine question” as discussed by Matteo Pasquinelli, using “the eye of the master” as a critical thinking framework. Participants can expect a diverse program of site visits, thought-provoking discussions, and hands-on activities designed to deepen their understanding of historical industrial contexts and their relevance to modern society. This immersive experience promises to offer valuable insights into the interplay between labor, technology, and social change across different eras.
